All you have to think of is where are caravan parks generally? Usually out in the sticks down little country lanes especially in Cornwall, Devon and Wales so expect lanes where you can probably just fit a ■■■ paper between the static and the tress/bushes.
Overhanging loads, folk complaining you are holding them up getting to said caravan site them not taking into account how the static they are spending the week in got on site :unamused: High risk of damage to the static going down tight spots. Mind you I guess you’ll get free overnight parking and a slap up meal at some caravan parks
I think most of this work is double manned but could be wrong.

My mate does it. All of the above. You’re out most of the week and many of the places you’re expected to go down you’d normally look at and say not a chance in a normal truck let alone one with a 12-14ft wide load on.

Pain in the arse with abnormal movement bans such as bans on moving within peak hours on the M60.

And yes its double manned.

One of my customers runs about 30 arctics doing just caravans. Every time I go there it’s the same drivers so that would suggest it is good work simply because they stay - unlike many of my customers where they have a steady flow of drivers leaving and new starters.

Virtually all double manned.

Yes they deliver to some very tight spots and health & safety is non existent at most caravan parks. Try loading/unloading in the car park with kids running round etc etc.

Pretty specialist work getting some of the fans on and off due to ground clearance issues. Also lack of decent lashing points makes lashing down fun

Also you may actually deliver to travellers camps as they do love their static caravans  That in itself will fetch up allsorts of problems.

Its a good job, Interesting and sometimes difficult and like the above says, easy to damage.
I LOVE IT !!!
Have a read through these
