Hi everyone, thought I’d make myself known (now I’ve figured out how to post…)
I’m danny from Wigan, 24 year old scaffolder with a need for a bit of a career change! Scaffolding is all well and good but I’ve been saying since being 15 that I’d do my HGV “one day”. Just been thinking more and more over the last 12 months that’s its a realistic goal and I shouldn’t hold back! Done (and still do) a lot of miles but all 3.5t. Used to drive tours for bands all around Europe and now my current job takes me everywhere. Sometimes too much so! [emoji13]
Anyway, going through the motions of getting my cat C licence at the mo, still in the early stages, but finding this forum really helpful and its good to read of other people’s stories who are going through training too!

There’s no such thing as ‘too much’ for a trucker - you go as far as the job takes you! 
Good luck in your quest, it can be a steep hill to climb, but the view from the top should hopefully be worth the effort.
