I’m starting training with Wallace tomorrow so i thought i’d post my experiences during the course and eventual test here. By friday you will be able to tell if my idea to do all the training with a fullsize tri-axle trailer was a good one or not!
I have built my experience up fairly slowly, doing 7.5 tonne for a couple of years and passing my LGV C in november on my second attempt. Since then i have gained experience driving 18-26 tonne vehicles and i decided to go for the top license in the hope i can obtain better, more reliable work and of course more money.
All the training i have self financed so far and although i could have taken financial assistance from Manpower i decided it would be better not to be tied to one agency.
Anyway, i would probably be well advised to get some rest and prepare mentally for tomorrow … at least i have the whole wembley stadium carpark to practice the reversing etc !
