Started new job yesterday, stood down today due to wind

So I started a new job yesterday went and done all the paperwork and crap like that, got phone call last night to say everyone is stood down today due to high winds. They run double deckers and the load is only about 2-3 tons.

Couple things really

  1. Have I actually managed to find a company thats gives a ■■■■ about their drivers!
  2. Will I get paid did ask but the gaffer wasn’t there, prefer to be in the yard cleaning the wagons than not getting paid

If you are out this wind take it easy lads, the load can wait.

Theres always a chance that youve stumbled upon the holy grail! The acid test of course is whether they`ll actually pay you for your availability. Morally they should, but we live in an amoral world… Username gave me a chuckle btw!
nice closing statement bro.
