Probably looking at closer to 2k to get your Class C, than 1.5K. And that is assuming you pass first time…

Paid £900 for mine or £1350 to include everything from medical, theory etc. Also CPC inc in that so is doable for under 1.5k

I think it depends how many lessons you have/need or get for your money. And I was including the CPC, as without it, your Class C isn’t worth a lot!

Glad you managed to save a few quid!

To be fair I budgeted more than that, then had an assessment to which he said you only need 2 lessons (2 x 8 hour with 2 of us so around 4 hours driving per lesson) otherwise for 3 days it would have been just over 1.5k in all (if I passed first time). Was quoted a fair whack more than that from other local training providers though :unamused:

Agreed, you can do it for £1500 if you cut the lessons to the bone, but that isn’t going to work for everyone. It’s always best to overestimate a little, as if it comes in cheaper, it’s a nice surprise!

Just been for my cpc mod 2 (second attempt!), got caught out on the first test with international driving and multi manning and got 39 out of 50. Wasn’t very happy as i thought i was well clued up on the regulations and info but proved myself wrong. Anyway a month later and a bit more revision and i passed, 45 out of 50.

I will say as i’ve read posts on the forum about the mod 2 and how does it differ from the theory test, it does vary slightly to the theory test, i personally think on certain questions its looking for that little bit of extra knowledge and on the rest of the questions it’s very similar to the theory but thats just what i think. Maybe it’s because you have more to read!

The training is all booked in at Peter Smythe’s and i start on the 17th of September, so looking forward to that!
