I know I should know this but I’ve been out of the game for a while
I’ve just started doing some work for an agency but not fulltime
My problem is I sometimes do a days work then nothing for a couple of days then maybe 2/3 days work so does my working week restart again after I/ve had 45hrs off therefore a posibility of starting 2 working weeks in the same calander week
I know I ain’t explained it well but any answers welcomed
There are two sorts of weeks -
The fixed week which is mon 0000 to Sunday 2400 and the time between weekly rest periods.
Depending on what you want to do will depend on the rules governing each of the above.
Many have a mid-week weekly rest every week and this is perfectly legal and opens up possibilities which are not there if you have weekend weekly rests.
Taking a mid-week weekly rest can make it possible to have 6 reduced daily rests in one fixed week

After the weekly rest of 36 hours you have 6 X 24 hours (144 hours) before you must start your next weekly rest which would be Weds 1930 - When was your last FULL weekly rest ?
Thanks for answering my post
my last weekly rest started 17:45 mon last week so plenty of time off although the decorating I done was hardly a rest
I’m suppose to start 19:00 tonight but so long as I don’t put my card in till 19:30 I’ll get my 36hrs so i can work the weekend

Why are worried about 36 hours ■■? - the minimum weekly rest is 24 hours
Cheers Rog

Well I now think the drivers CPC is a good idea after all
Mind you I can still drive em and rope and sheet if I have to although put on a few pounds since then

May I respectfully suggest doing one of the 7 hour tachograph and drivers hours periodic cpc courses than are now on offer - the price for one of those can be done fairly cheaply at the moment

I certainly wouldn’t want to dissuade anyone from doing a course on drivers hours and tachograph regulations, but given the number of people who have come here saying that they were told various things on some of these courses that weren’t correct I’d suggest studying the regulations yourself, you could still do a course to add to the periodic training.

I agree, I don’t think those courses are worth much given the amount of false information they seem to teach.

I agree too, but I’d do one anyway, if it was offered as part of my Drivers CPC.
A day getting paid to snooze, with the occasional giggle thrown in, when someone starts talking MMTM rules.
Or even more fun. Get a debate started on what exactly is meant by 6 x 24hour periods, in relation to ~~EU drivers hours
