My first lesson tomorrow morning 06.00-10.00
Already been out in the artic 2 weeks ago for a 15 minute taster session with the instructor, it’s a DAF XF. Enjoyed it!
What tips can you experienced guys give a noobie?

Head over to the wannabe/new driver forum. You’ll pick up loads of tips on there from people who are starting learning, recently passed, experienced chaps and chapesses and also those who teach.
One bit of advice is to listen to your instructor, nobody else. They will get you through your test. It’s after thst you start learning properly.
Don’t bother mate the jobs crap. Poor pay, long hours, no idea what time you will get home, idiots on the road, Vosa, police. Seriously don’t do it! The novelty of driving an artic will wear off within a year.

Ignore this OP. He’s a knob trying to ■■■■ on your bonfire when you are buzzing for tomorrow. I remember how excited I was to start my class 1 training… It will feel amazing when the examiner says congratulations.
Good luck on the training. I’d probably stay off trucknet until you passed and just listen to your instructor. You don’t need to be perfect to pass - I certainly am not. So don’t beat yourself up if you have a bad day or find reversing an artic so annoying you want to explode at first. But enjoy the process.
PS - don’t whatever you do second guess the examiner or instructor. I recently did my motorbike das. I was certain I’d failed early on in the test. So just rode around for experience. Examiner bollocked me back at test center for nearly failing whilst parking the bike at the end because I went in too fast. Nearly threw away my pass by thinking something which was wrong.
Its not a bad job really, don’t listen to the negative feedback from here, good luck and enjoy it. Best advice anyone can give you is to ignore the idiots and stay away from the crowd, do your own thing and stay positive.
Passed with only 2 minors

well done . now start learning for a couple of years then aim for the best jobs in the industry.their out there you’ve just got to look and be pushy. good luck.
Well done, you have entered the game at a fairly good time and being based in the WM you should have no problem getting work.
Finding a job you like may take a few years stick with it be flexible and have the right attitude and it will surely come.
All the best.
Congratulations mate. It’s a great feeling to have it passed. With a little luck you will be like me and never have to do another driving test.
Make sure you have a beer tonight and celebrate being just as qualified as anyone now. Experience is important - but your licence is the same as everyone elses.
Whatever you don’t do listen to all the negativity and don’t become another person who just complains about their life and job and does nothing about it.
