Start a new compamy

hey after a few weeks looking at farmers Ive been thinking, I might start a local haulage company that has a fleet of FASTRAC 3000 tractors, I can then do 80kph, leave mud everywhere, let half my load blow away, use a single strap to tie down a load, if I get lost go cross country, not use tachos.

Can’t think of anything else at the moment. feel free to add.

Who wants a job■■?

P.S. I’m not being serious

Red diesel and no tax

You can also drive a top of the range, range rover and plead poverty lol

No HGV entitlement and drive at 17 on a car licence with no CPC.

Need class 1 for them now…you can only use red if it is used for agricultural purposes within a 6 or 8 mile radius(Cant remember exactly) of your farm and at a max speed of 19.5mph. After that its tax, white diesel and tacho time. A few people have had the wrath of HMRC VOSA and plod unleashed on them…sorry to ■■■■ on your fireworks

Methinks all posts were kind of showing what goes on in reality! So the fireworks are still on.

Yes there are a few who have been caught but theres still loads at it.

Very true

Over harvest time we had a contractor working for a local farm bring wheat to our stores. He had 2 brand new Fastracs i think they were over 200bhp and were set to run at 80kph+ they weighed in at just over 42 ton on each trip.

From d4c24a’s very informative link…

Q. What is the maximum speed limit for agricultural vehicles?
A. The maximum speed that an agricultural motor vehicle can be driven is 20mph, although certain high-speed tractors (JCB Fastracs) can be driven at up to 40mph as long as they are fitted with ABS-equipped air-brakes, fully suspended axles, high-speed rated tyres, a speedometer
and mirrors.

It is a stupid business plan, every farmer I have ever spoke to is skint and has had to sell 3 sq ft of land to survive the last three recessions :stuck_out_tongue:

It was much better in the golden olden days when a badly done to farmer bought a new F88 for a couple of weeks grain haulage and taxed it as farmers goods. Then they put a bumpkin on it and carved the rates up from the docks for the remaining 11 and half months!

When you hear farmers say they are skint i thinks its porkies. They pay the poles who live in a caravan in their garden peanuts and they always drive top end range rovers.

I think it is all one big ruse so we feel sorry for them
