I was interested in working with the SRC Group based in Colchester. There are a few round Essex as well, I met a manager discuss for more details.
When I walked off the site, the SRC employee thought I worked with SRC, told me off that I did not wear PPE and a hat, but realised I was there to meet the manager, and ended up had good chat.
The employee has shared a different perspective, stating that SRC Group pays £13 per hour for a maximum of 40 hours, with possible Saturday work if requested. They mentioned that many drivers work in London rather than outside, and that the A12 dual carriageway often experiences traffic from accidents. According to the person, other tipper jobs might be better than SRC.
In contrast, the manager provided different details: 48 hours of work are available, with pay at £13.95 per hour or £32,000 per year.
I don’t want to leave my job, to find that SRC is as bad as my current job, where I earn £30,000 for a 7.5t job. I am looking for a higher wage job as my house mortgage gone up this year.
I don’t know what to believe manager or the employee, tell the truth. I am asking anyone on this forum who has worked recently for them give correct details.
