saw one on the M54 yesterday was one of the 12 plates that had all the sheeting over previously (been removed now) pulling a box trailer with opening side panels,
There were 3 of them parked in Toddington n/bound yesterday afternoon, same colour and all with Volvo’s private plates on. Think it was a pr thing as they were letting drivers climb all over them.
Saw a solo green unit with spare wheel on catwalk passing through Reims Wednesday, looked ok but like a lot I prefer the Merc.
Saw the black 750 pulling a digger on a low loader yesterday M1 Northbound Jc 28-29 at about 1610 then right behind was a Green ish coloured one pulling a box trailer didn’t have the 750 splattered all over it though.
…on the plus side, if you’re driving it, you don’t have to look at it!
One seriously nice piece of kit to drive , comfort and space in the cab is superb.
My coolleagues and myself have probably done about 2500 k each while touring the uk .I will try and get the photos on as soon as possible.
I like it but then i like the new daf as well

ta.
did you go out and trial it somewhere then, or do you work for a company that has 1?
the look is not doing it for me right now, unless its all colour coded, but the shots i’ve seen of the interior make it look a very, very nice bit of kit. i also like the idea of the cooling system for when a driver is asleep in warmer climates.
When to crossroads open day at Rotherham on Wednesday an had a good hour looking around the three that was there and was well impressed with them. Spoke to keith the sales man in crossroads stallingbrough two week ago got a 500 XL on order for July next year before even looking at them in the flesh now I have had the chance to see one right up close I know I have made the right move. It going to be a longest nine months of my life waiting for it to be here
I saw one coming out of Gloucester on Friday, it was White pulling a white trailer & I think it was a 61 plate.

There was a group of eight vehicles that where used for a tour of the uk.
All I can say is the interior has been well thought out and the driving position with the neck tilt on the steering and the updated seats make it really comfortable to drive over long periodsp.the extra space in the cab is superb.the handling is completely different to the old fh
sounds good.
i’ve always said that the volvo was my fave ever drivers truck.
had a 57 plate xl for a year, it had the ishift box and was a dream to drive, it was just a shame that the cab was so small due to the screen rake. if you could have put the daf ssc on the volvo chassis, it would be, (imho) a near perfect truck.
i’ll look forward to a nose around the new volvo at some stage
i had to look twice at that^^^^ i thought it was a Goldstar motor for a minute!
