What about the driving time reset? i.e 1 and a half hours drive to Tesco followed by 3 to 4 hours on break on the bay! Do you not loose the 3 hours of the first 4 and a half drive when on break?
Why would you lose it 
You can still do 9/10 hours driving throughout the shift.
Have you ever seen the driving time reset mentioned in the regs? I might be or read it wrong as the regs are written to confuse the insane!

Yes
After taking a break of 45 mins the driving time is reset - but that means to a new 4.5 hours if enough driving and work hours are left in the shift
