Speed Limits for 7.5 tonne vehicles

Bit embarrassed to say I can’t remember if the speed limits for a vehicle up to 7.5t mgw are the same as those for the larger goods vehicles.
Did they change back in April?

Goods vehicles
(not exceeding 7.5 tonnes maximum laden weight)
30 ( 48 )
50 ( 80 )
60 ( 96 )
70 ( 112 ) **60 if towing.

From the new Highway code…

I just happend to be looking at the new Highway code and saw your question…

There is a current PROPOSAL to make all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes including buses & coaches have the same speed limits on motorways as LGVs and have the same outer lane restrictions. This was to have come into force from 1st Jan 08 but I have not heard any more as yet and nor has the VOSA man I speak to on a regular basis.
