Speed limited vans

plannerman:
I saw a small post office van (corsa-van size) the other day witha sticker saying ‘limited to 70’. Aren’t we all?

coughliescough :stuck_out_tongue:

Hitch…I drove for Paul Martin when he only had one motor VWlt , What happened to him, haven’t seen him for years.

‘…the introduction of speed limiters for vans…’

Bring it on 100% ASAP.

Am I safe to suggest that the EU is handbagging the full implementation of van 'limiters? If so, why?

Road safety can only benefit (?)

In anticipation, who cares what the neanderthals at their wheels reckon? It’ll wipe the grins off their chops for absolute certain - though the number of chimps in tax dodge, self-employed, wannabee pick-ups will surely rise

Actually Keith it will completely desomate the sector pickups aren’t always viable for security reasons

For hotshot work it goes in favour of airfreight which is horrifically. Exprsive and more polluting than sending a van

Rates won’t rise it’ll put more smaller veichles on the road that’ll help congestion NOT the work wont on bigger trucks so there won’t be an upturn In work for other sectors

And lastly it’ll just heap major cost on an already struggling sector

Happy Keith:

Don’t tar us all with the same brush Keith.
Some of us take our job seriously and have pride in what we do.
I drove HGV for many years before going onto vans and i worked with and came accross plenty of neanderthal cowboys in that sector aswell.
