Speed cameras in germany

i think one got me when driving throw germany what will happen do they send letter to company then you pay fine our do they put points on your licence.

been flashed loads of times in germany the last time about 6 weeks ago and have never heard anything, maybe i was lucky

There used to be a nice lady in Manchester who dealt with the translations of the fines.

When I go to Hamburg I use the national between Nordhorn and Cloppenburg and I must have been flashed by the cameras on that stretch at least a dozen times this year, in fact last week I was ready for the flash so gave them the finger as it went off, :stuck_out_tongue: and haven’t heard a thing. Over the years I have been flashed many times by cameras in Germany and heard nothing.

Same here been flashed in English and Belgium trucks, never heard anything

not wishing to be a spoil sport  but have they not passed a
rule in Brussels about following up on traffic offences and
fines, if they do send you a bill and its under €40 you should
(?) not get any points, however they will give out points for fines higher
also the make you pay the costs for the paperwork,

All depends on the speed you were doing,

German cameras are set at 11kmh over the limit, if you got flashed doing 62 in a 50 zone, they then deduct 3kmh for tolerences making it 9kmh to fast , i would get a letter asking for 30-40€ you would not ,because they dont chase fines abroad for under 70€

Bloody foreigners coming over here and getting away with flagrantly disregarding the law.
It’s a travesty

I got flashed again yesterday by one of the cameras on the road between Lingen and Cloppenburg, I think it’s the 213 or 231, so I am guilty of being a bloody foreigner going over there and getting away with flagrantly disregarding the law. Limit was 60 and I was doing around 85.  :stuck_out_tongue:

Any faster and I would have been too close to the German in front who wasn’t pedalling fast enough and there wasn’t an overtaking opportunity at that point, he got flashed as well but I don’t think he was aware of the camera whereas I knew it was there. :stuck_out_tongue:
