Due to the M6 being closed overnight between Junc 7 & 6 have been using the A41 at West Bromwich
The speed camera after you come off the M5 before the football ground has gone off every night this week as i pass it at 30.
Anyone else had this happen to them lately?
I’ve heard although it’s probably a myth that they flash when you’re not speeding when they’re out of film

Don`t worry there all switched off. Got no money to run them anymore.
It was flashing away with no cars going past it during the day last week, just the traffic heading towards the M5.
Lol, his dastardly reign is at an end & he’s venting, maybe it has a poltergeist in it. You could start an urban myth with all the yam yams.
Saw a similar thing on the M20 last week around Maidstone in the variable speed limit area the traffic heading up to London was heavy and all four lanes going at the same speed yet the speed camera in the third lane was flashing like mad while none of the others were perhaps the camera was bored and felt it needed to do something
It flashed when I was going past last night at 28, but I think it covers both sides of the carriageway. So it could have been someone else triggering it, seemed to be the case last night anyway.
There’s a red light camera on a41 heading into central London that flashes when no vehicles about. I was sat at opposite lights and noticed it! Does that mean it don’t work!

I was wondering why they have never replaced the burnt out one on the A461 Stourbridge Road between Dudley and Brierley Hill.
As regards the one on the A41 at West Bromwich it was still flashing away merrily last night.
I went through the same speed camera on sunday night 15/9/13 was doing 27 mph and it flashed twice but there was a car travalling in the other direction seemed to me he was speeding
