Well obviously. Regardless of whether there may be an induction loop in the road I always reduce my speed to the speed for my class of vehicle going past a speed because you never know. This applies to the speed cameras on the A1 too which everyone else seems to fly past at 56mph+.
Same as on the oft-mentioned A556 from M6 J19 down to the M56. Two lanes in each direction, but for most of the way no central reservation. 40mph limit - evidently not all truckers know/care about it.
Note: This 40mph limit does not apply to you if you work for R F Fielding.
