Spardo's New Wagon

DAFMAD:
 Yeah I like that 240, an artic, trouble is that’ll be 10 or 15 mph then. :frowning:

Only downhill with the donkey pushing it! :stuck_out_tongue:

They give me an idea to take me dads rotivater and hook to the wheel barrow

Gardner 240:
I thought, David, that an experienced chap like you might have gone for an artic…

Already have Chris :open_mouth:

The Spardo MkII artic logger :sunglasses:

The MkI was the wheel barrow you can see in the background :open_mouth: , and
the MkIII is the 3 wheel monster pictured at the head of this thread - The Ape!

Onwards and Upwards

Can’t fault you, mate! Ahead of the game, or what??

The trailer was bought new and is a garden trailer (no lights etc.) with a
shorter towbar designed to be hooked up behind situpon mowers. The local
blacksmith extended the bar and made & fitted a really strong towing hitch
arrangement for the mower, all for €50 including materials.
I don’t have far, maybe 50 metres, to haul the logs but it was a bit of a pain in
winter when I needed a wheelbarrow load every day. With the MkII I doubled
the payload but couldn’t ride the trailer when loaded for fear of overburdening
the clutch on the slope. This required some deft footwork to avoid getting run
over by the trailer :open_mouth: . Yes, I know, it conjures up some very amusing
images of me lying face down in the mud with a tyre mark up my back and the
outfit chomping its way into the sunrise  , but I did get skinned ankles a
couple of times.
Now, with the super duper Ape, I can double the payload again (ie. 4
barrowloads) and don’t have to bother if it rains, just leave the logs in the
van 'till it stops.
Next enterprise? Trailer for the Ape? It would have to be a drag, the weight of a
semi behind the axle would make it unsteerable. The wife has already done a
wheelie in it trying to drop down to crawler on our 1 in 10 hill :open_mouth:

Funniest thing I’ve ever seen. She absolutely refuses to re-enact it for
the camera though.
