Afternoon all any info on the above company please usual stuff monety hours etc i did notice there director is one d lucking is D Lucking are there anything to do with luckings
It’s owned by a bloke called Dave Luckin ( no “G” on the end) and he’s nothing to do with Luckings. It’s nearly all weekend work, theatre movements etc, they run older trucks and I don’t know about the money. I’ve done a bit for them in the past and they seemed ok to me.
I did some double manning with a lad called Darren who worked for southern van lines on a stage truck muse tour. he was a brilliant lad really easy to get on with, a good driver and one of the best straight line reverses I have ever seen out of a broken French peage. I am looking for his phone number and will pm it to you when I find it. I don’t know anything about the company he was in a 2nd hand stobart mercedes race truck unit and the only grumble with the boss was he was issued with a new fuel card no one wanted and the unmanned equipment where we did find the fuel did not work. alan
Daves step daughter is a friend of mine i used to do the odd load out and trailer swapetc for him. Hes a decent enough fella the motors tended to be older but well looked after cant helpon wages etc.
Same as above really! Used to work alongside their boys on either corporate or R & R work & they all seemed happy with the job, i know their units were older than the average but with euro limits as they are now i would imagine the kit is up to date now. I would imagine they are roughly the same as any other company in this line of work- a fixed per day rate & nothing if you don’t work
As Harry said earlier their mainstay work is theatre based so a lot of nights & weekends
