This t/unit was restored by a friend of mine a long time ago, it had rear axle problems and the axle was replaced with one
off a lighter but faster Mercury unit, it gave the wagon a lot more speed, and much fun was had of a Weekend
leaving all the so called fast cars of the day, for dead at the lights in Shepton Mallet. It was called the Shepton Flyer
It stood for a long while and was then purchased by Tony Lloyd (Lloyds of Ludlow) who replaced the axle for the original type
and painted it in the livery of Lludlow Brewery, it is rallied along with Tonys other restored vehicles, keep an eye out for it.

There was a company from Merthyr, D & L Blake who ran Dodge’s like this with red cabs.
They did a lot of low loader work for HY-MAC. Not sure what weight they ran at, the trailers had an inline four wheel axle.
