hello simon.
i would think that is the 143E that was lifted from WT s.as i said a few months ago the original truck that was to go into WT DAVIES fleet as a heavy hauler was E683SBO.This truck was seen by G. WALTERS and a deal was done there and then and was the first heavy hauler that went into walters group.A replacement was ordered to go into service for WT and the rest is just an unsolved theft . There is a photo on this thread of the scania 142E E683 SBO courtesy of pete359.
regards graham.

The problem was that when Jeff had to move out of his yard on Power Station hill he was offered this yard in Rhydyfelin. The yard was cleared flat to the earth and had nice little roads running through it. He filled it up with a few hundred commercials, most of them local stuff and low mileage military stuff. But after a while the trees started growing again and before long they had sprung up between the vehicles and the sap got on the vehicles and rotted all the tin work. As a result within a few years all the cabs had fallen apart over the chassis. Lots of interesting motors have simply fallen apart where they stood. But have a peep in his inner sanctum if you need brand new cabs ready to fit for your Bedford TL, or if you fancy a brand new engine. He had a good stock of these stored in their factory crates!
cheers for the pics butty i was the bloke taken with your old dodge v8 down the tonyrefail carshow a few weeks ago where exactly is jeff ways old yard to mate so i can go and have a look myself ?

Take the A470 off North from junc 32 at Cardiff. Take the third exit off at Upper Boat(next after Caerphilly) take the third exit off going with the Upper Boat pub on your left. Travel along that road until you see it bear right under a bridge. Before you actually go under that bridge, take a left over an old steel bridge, go left at the end. Happy hunting!
thanks for that mate thats the old wood yard by rhydyfelin rugby club webbs old yard ill have a look there tomorrow cheers
