Hi Andrew
During my years with Glyn John,we used to deliver disposable nappies to a factory next to Gerald Evans’ yard and at that time (1986~7)he ran two transcons in a rather drab mustard colour. There was also a green+white transcon rotting away in a corner of the yard with a cracking pair of air horns that i tried to persuade him to part with but to no avail :frowning: Great to see those old photos of Ely Transport.keep em coming mate.
Regards Mark

Hi Andrew and Mark, I remember GDE’s transcons and an A series ERF, which was used for shunting ia Stateler pens. The last motor I remember on the road was an E series ERF also mustard/ yellow in colour, running under the Pontyclun Van Hire name.
Regards Paul

Look at the old AEC tanker in the background, I worked next door to GDE when I drove for CMT. I remember looking over that AEC and it wasnt too bad at that time.
