we recently repaired this man for a local company,whilst it was in with us the driver had to have a renault premium,or as he called it “the trabant”.

Hiya Andrew hope you are keeping well(and busy) I trust you won’t mind but I can’t really put this shot on the Bewick site !! it will spoil the image!!! thought it would sit better among all the Joint’s carnage! The accident happened on the roundabout at Droitwich the motor was loaded with Pulp ex Portbury for British Cellophane at Barrow-in-Furness.

here’s a south wales haulier’s truck that i know nothing about (other than it’s an old iron lung scammell rigid 8 ) :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: .it says on the door p&p transport co.old refinery,bridgend.anyone know anything? lynxman,dai davies, certain trucknet members of a more experienced era than myself someone may know something?

Found out more information tonight about this scammell it was driven by gareth,s farther Bill Evans for many years and i am waiting for some more photo,s of it to come and as soon as i get them i,ll post them thanks for the info gareth

good work komatsu 450 mate.tj ree’s motors were a favourite of mine as a very young boy.dennis (bewick) thanks we are well and hope you are to.here’s a couple of john raymond’s modern fleet,they seem to be running an alarming number of iveco stranded’s these days :laughing: .

Hiya H this was the second one we had roll over on round-a-bouts the other was a Big J at Lindale on the A590 (at least he got a bit nearer to Barrow).These particular loads were heavy and 22ton went onto about 24 ft of length on a 40ft trailer but I’m not making excuses though although these two drivers were not shall we say "the sharpest tools in the box!"The windscreen on the Big J dropped out onto the grass followed by the driver! The screen went back in and there was minimal damage to the cab! Anyway neither of the drivers was hurt (except their pride!)and that was the main thing.Cheers Dennis.
