South Wales Hauliers sixties and seventies onwards (Part 1)

gah1950:
hello andrew.
there is some serious weight on that trailer and i would take a rough guess around 60/70 ton,it looks very much that it has the dreaded air suspension as well, the constuction of the bed looks a very robust design as there is no deflection in evidence, :astonished: .
graham.

hi graham,
i guessed around 80 tonne :open_mouth: we caught this abandoned 1853 eurocab still coupled up to a fridge, hadn’t moved in ages.i would love to restore one of those :sunglasses: .

Hi all,
We pulled the hire cars over to get some photos of this f series drag.the owner?Saw us taking photos and Really spat the dummy out big time and attempted to chase our mates in the other hire car down the road :exclamation: over the past 40 plus years of my taking pictures of people’s trucks I have experienced some hostility and strange behaviour, though this guy really took the biscuit

Great Greek pics mate,Greece is a top spot for old trucks.

I saw this F16 drag in Corfu a few years ago,the driver was quite the opposite of your man he told me where I could find the last F89 working on the Island.

Hi all. Andrew thanks for the photos. As you said, Dai Echo’s 143 is outstanding.
In fact the standards of all the South Wales trucks is very high.

Regards Paul.

Hi Andrew yes the MAN was a great truck . I have a road test some where in truck magazine I will try and find it and put it on here . I think it would give most of the new lorries a run for its money ! Keep the pictures coming in . Tony
