Here’s one for dai echo and rowly :sunglasses:

Whats the story with that F88 Andrew? The Merc seems to date the picture 1990’s on.
Neil.

Hi Neil,
I was hoping you local lads could jog my memory  I cannot remember where I took it,it maybe amongst a load I have been given  I remember mike tomms from church village with a maroon f88,this one is from the late 80’s or even early 90’s,maybe dai or rowly can help.maybe? pERFection14 will now something.probably an owner driver and mate started up in partnership, unusual that neither of the names ring any bells though
Regards Andrew.

I think it was a relation of Henry Jenkins and I think the Prosser was Gary Prosser who used to be a fitter in Henry’s garage on the way to Penycoedcae and I remember him doing a bit of fitting for us when I was working for Jawards transport on the docks in Cardiff.

pete 359:
hi all,
a big thank you to local farmer and haulier geoff evans for sharing these pictures with us.firstly a chris morgan daf on geoff’s driveway in pencoed

Lewis Transport out side Mold, used to take this home

a few years after the daf on the driveway photo, geoff bought this cargo from local livestock haulier cyril creasey.

Some more I found in Newport on the weekend.

These trucks were parked at the Nash college motor vehicle unit, presumably for the apprentices to play with.
I wonder what the story of this FH Volvo rigid in Meritor livery was…

i remember this cargo had a new cab after she was “the filling” in a blue line transport sandwich  in the south cornelly winter snows of 1987.

i think  this was geoff’s first scania rigid.

geoff and one of his sons loading sheep.

Hi Neil,
Cool pictures mate.whats the story behind these two? Did they used to run them?
Regards Andrew.

Andrew, hopefully Ritchie will be on to give full details, but they said his dad was doing Morroco in the white one outside up to 10 years ago. He has another one [dark red cab] that was posted on here before somewhere, thats away having a restoration, so the South Wales old truck gang could gain a big Ford in the future.
Neil.
