Hi reef I thinks it a Owens unit as they are the shunters used taking coil off the boat to the shed ,I know he got old units there cheers John

Ah yes that would make sense because the wendy (coil well trailer) just visible behind it is an old/ex Owens and still has the Owens livery on the canopy.

James Hemphill was sneaking out of Polmadie in Glasgow to South Wales although Cardiff Transport and Carline we’re sneaking up the A74 to Ravenscraig

Hi Dean,
Thanks for the TM photo.My father painted that outfit when it was new.we did a lot of work for Carl Davies over the years.Last time I saw him,he was living near my inlaws in north Cornelly.

Thanks for the K600 photo.That was a 2435,went very well,I always thought it went better than the other 35’s.I had it from new on nights and weekends.Long serving Joint driver Keith Green had it on days.He drives for Owens now.

It was a screen shot off a short video on you tube, there is another shot of a Joints motor on the M4, I will have to search for it and will send you the title, I think K600 was at the bottom of the A449 at Coldra island, Cheer’s Pete

I think that is the one, it has a good side shot of a Joints Merc so Andrew may recognise the driver, haven’t seen any of Cardiff Transport’s motors on there I suppose it is hard to catch 'em at 80 mph! Cheer’s Pete

I think that’s the motor John Griffiths, from Nelson, bought to haul his Fowler steam engine about on. Did a few runs in it for him.

I think?the one you refer to was a V6 powered 2534.I saw it a time or two at Bailey park in Abergavenny.When Joint had it,was registered K444 JMH.Pete I have a lot of photos of K600,I will post a few.The film you refer to,I bought back in 1996 on video.There are a lot of Joint’s and many others featured in it.
