Roland I like the Tilt, just needs a belly tank two spare wheels/carriers and a side lockers. On the front headboard a ladder and a sheet cradle. remove 2 of the top roof supports and you’ve got a bed for the night
to watch the stars go by and to think to yourself there no place like home (Wales) I hope you have got that transcon lined up for the tilt

Regards

Stephen

Thanks for that Rowly, I once acquired 5 C/F widespreads when I bought out a Pal’s flat business in 1974 they were all on multi leaf springs and rode as smooth as silk and there was no “nodding” on the units as the W/spreads kept them rock steady, but the tyre wear was a lot heavier particularly on the N/s front axle. I ran them for a number of years but eventually sold them. The nearside front on the later tri axles were prone to quicker wear but our Tyre Fitter made sure they were swapped around so as even up the wear. The centre axles got the lightest wear as they just pivoted and weren’t dragged sideways as much as the front and rear axles ! Useless info I know but rubber was a large running cost even when you managed it carefully ! Cheers Dennis.

Hi Dennis,
I’ve never understood the appeal of football tbh, though my son,a mate of ours from Welshpool and myself all watched the game with many Belgian friends on Friday night in Belgium,we were there for the brilliant power on wheels truck festival in aalst.i personally was very proud of our nations performance and our Belgian hosts were very gracious in defeat.

Hi Andrew, you sure get about in that Big Merc ! I think I’ll send you an un-accompanied over to the Hook , now lets see where it is loaded for, Ah! a nice 26 ton one dropper to Munich how would that do ? Clean the cobwebs out of that big “V” don’t you think. We used to have a left ■■■■■■ Scania and an 1844 stay over there for 6 weeks at a time and we just shipped un-accompanied trailers backward and forward which was cheaper on the ferry charges. I’m not a football fan really just follow the big Matches including Rugby, that is a nice shot of your motor, very smart ! Cheers Dennis.
