CTH350V Been stood there since 1986, when last taxed only 6 years old ! I remember it at the time with a smashed windscreen, never got replaced before numerous parts had been so called temporarily borrowed , but never got put back !!

Clive Davis is he the chap that used to go to Metal Box Perrywood every day.

Hi all, clive was on perrywood job 5 days a week for some years, when Thomas,s lost m/box taylors phoned clive and took him on he was running neath to perrywood, later shunting in neath.i used to go and load at oakleys, at rotherwas ind est Hereford.coils for m/box Braunstone leics or NACANCO Miltton Keynes.

I remember me and Steve Jeffries running to perry wood it was 5.30 the security wouldn’t let us out till morning we only had day cabs so we left the engines running he soon let us out because people were complaining,we took a pack of ■■■■ up once we tipped we always had empty pallets back of him to make up our money good days then

That is an amazing survivor; I would have expected to see a lot less of her, yet she only appears to be missing a coach built cab and some mechanical bits. I have seen lorries restored and running from a lot worse starting points than this; Rossers BYV561 for example was a bare chassis and axles when found.

Hi Andrew, yes your right, all the cab panels are there to copy, missing front axle, may be around some where ! :smiley: BYV561 was first owned Bowaters then my grandfather Reg Thomas, RG Thomas who sold it to Rossers .

The ERF on the low loader was ex calor, L10 ■■■■■■■ 290, low millage but with engine problems when bought , John Jones drove it when it was up and running.

Was that John Jones from Calor’s Three ■■■■■ Depot Paul ?

Thanks guys. John (also nicknamed bootsy) sadly passed away from cancer. I have other pictures of the ERF once it was painted etc. Will upload in a minute.
