Pete - if you go on Flickr and do a search for Monmouth Troy Station it brings up a few pics taken in 1977. these show the place being used as a coal yard as well as a haulier’s base. The other thing it tells you is that the station buildings are now at Winchcombe; they were removed there stone by stone and rebuilt. Unfortunately while some pics make reference to the haulier, they do not say who it was. I will keep digging to see what more I can find out.

That would be Eric Ward did mostly Alcan work ,using mainly Fodens but had one Atki Borderer .
Started haulage on local work , agriculture and potatoes , regards Keith .

Hi Keith, Did Eric Ward have a son named Stuart by any chance, he had a blue volvo gobstopper on an egg job then went on to flat work taking bales from Smethwick to Port Talbot, Cheers Pete
