I was with Grayham and Ian today and they said the merc was used on formula 1 work carrying back up kit ,the white paint was polished up and the red chassis and blue stripe was added by them ,the sun visor with fitting kit was a whopping £600 odd from mercedes ,tachos found in it show it had been used across Europe .

Hi all. Well Andrew this Scania is one of three currently imported temporarily by Qatar Marine Sports Federation.
They pull three racing boats of different classes under the name of Spirit of Qatar, number 20, 96 and 613 as well as hospitality trailers and all kind of back up equipment.
They also have two Kenworths, the cab over here and a conventional as well. All their equipment is immaculate, from F450 pick up trucks to their trailers.
The boats are incredible, the super boat 96 just broke the speed record on water at 244mph, the previous being 224mph.
They left this morning with 613 heading to Clearwater for this weekend, the last but one race before the week long finish down the keys. I am hoping to visit the yard with one of the Brits working on the team shortly when everything is back instead of peaking through the fence.
They rent space in Reliable carriers yard who specialise in transporting top end cars in enclosed trailers similar to that of the NASCAR race teams. They are not to keen on me taking photos from our yard next door.
When they leave in convoy its some sight.

Driver on the left is Alan Hobbs, great fella and still working for Hicks transport the other driver is as Rowland has already quoted the one and only John Brain
