Hi all, Dai great photos as usual.
Dan, that body on the Foden OBO 251M was a K&J Withey body made in Masseycymmer S. Wales. Iirc she was based at Britannia Colliery, along with a 6 wheel D series Ford fitted with a v8 ■■■■■■■■
I had the same body on OBO 296M a 6 wheel Dodge, ex NCB and when she was retired the body went on to a P reg running coal from Taylor Woodrows open cast Dowlais, to Risca power station. It was originally fitted with an air operated tail board. A true coal body, no spill boards necessary, and about 8/9 years old.
Regards Paul.
Hi Paul Would that be a similar ford D to the one used in the sales advertisement ,could of been yellow with Taylor woodrow on the doors ? Cheers Dan .
This is my Scania 143,the finished project! Made it’s debut outing for my daughters wedding and won best classic truck at The All Wales Truck Show in Carmarthen a week later!

The truck looks very good Steve. A great achievment with all the workmanship gone into it.

Hi Dan, not sure I’ve seen the truck in the advert. The Ford I am talking about was a NCB yellow, whilst Taylor Woodrow was a lime green.

Hi all,
Steve as someone who knows the sheer effort involved in creating a wet look paint finish, may I congratulate you on your end result mate.an outstanding effort, you should be very proud.i was very saddened to hear of the passing of our mutual friend tony Brugger.now for me that gentleman was a 100% perfect description of the word character.i shall really miss our regular phone calls and Facebook messages.the man was a fountain of knowledge and helped me immensley 6 years ago with registering my peterbilt.i will never forget the first words he ever said to me,when we were introduced to one another by ec14,"how are you? You are a c##t! All meant in Tony’s unique way,rip mate.
Regards andrew.
