the ford cargo G201 NRS, was bought off a dealer near Derby. it was a day cab 6x2, cant remember if it was a 270 or 280 ■■■■■■■■ it worked out of Metal Box Hull. When Metal Box closed, the ford came down to Swansea. the sleeper pod was fitted in Swansea, I used the cargo for a week shunting in Metal Box Poole.it was down there ready for me to used. I then drove it from Poole back to Swansea, it was a good truck to drive it performed well up & down those hills.it could carry 26tonne with a York trailer.
Daibootsy.

hiya,
I would hope that pod on the Bedford is removable I’d be dumping that
in the nearest skip and phoning up for a bed, horrible hideous thing.
thanks harry, long retired.

Would of been a 280 (commonly reffered to as 290) ■■■■■■■ LTA-10. In a 6x2 unit you could only get the 290 ■■■■■■■ and Eaton Twin gearbox. Ford/Iveco produced VERY few of them; even fewer with a day cab. Pics of twin steer Cargo units (from the era) are dirt rare, pics of day cab Cargo 6x2’s even rarer. This may be the only one…
