I used to drive an 18tonner ford cargo with pod on top a demount box on back for wm North Llanelli on remploy work

Pods on top of cabs were big in the 80,s loads of day cabs had them

I had 2yrs on drags for stobarts driving a daf with a pod,its just the look of cargos allways look strange to me ,they have a really thin cab and massive wheel arches and that one with the pod looks rubbish,you dont see many 6 wheel tractor units with that set up :cry: :cry:

They were small you had to climb in through the gap in the middle

I only remember Morgans when they had trans cons and leyland marathons before they upgraded the fleet Howell Morgan drives for crynant plant now

this Atkinson was new to wm morgan, later sold to w.g.davies.

A peter Davies picture taken on cowbridge road Cardiff of an octopus owned by jones motors kenfig hill,she later became a tractor unit when jones’ became joint motorways.this picture was on the traffic office wall at joint’s for many years.
