Belt’s are a very old established firm.the founders great grand son Lyndon belt runs a fleet of vans,rgids and an urban Artic delivering beer around west Wales.thanks.

I remember this Andrew, though I’m a bit hazy on detail. Basically Belts were transporting a ‘Blue Stone’ from the Preseli Hills, I think to Stonehenge. Some of the original smaller stones at Stonehenge are known to have originated in the Preselis, though historians/geologists argue over whether they were moved there by manpower/rolling on logs/boat or whether they turned up by glacial action. I can’t remember if this stone was being taken up there to restore an original feature or just to display. The Chinook carried the stone underslung from an outcrop up on the hill only about a mile or so to the nearest accessible point they could get the wagon to, then it went the rest of the way by road. I think it was late 80s.
