if anyone should see a plain red cf type daf unit pulling a simiar s&k tautliner to this one today? then it’s been stolen from s&k at barry earlier this afternoon.

hi all,
you may? recall this tautliner was stolen from s&k in barry.a security camera filmed this.i thought an man? though it could ? be an erf ecx.the trailer was found in a lay by near derby thanks to a facebook site run by haulier barry proctor.someone somewhere may recognise the unit?

Hi smallcoal , thats right at Oakengates , there was a firm named DG Hayward from nearby Sutton Maddock who also hauled for Swansea steels using Roadtrains and Ivecos . regards Keith .

It looks like an MAN XLX cab to me which will rule out ERF. Also looks like factory fit beacons on roof possibly in factory red and a 4x2. That should narrow it down quite a lot as I think most artic manufacturers only sell about 10% of their output as a 4x2 and most of those are shopping trolleys. Couldnt tell if it might have been a left ■■■■■■ though.

Not sure of the engine in the 400.i remember watching the old man working on and painting new 400 s.a. Sleepers,some had twin windows,others had a large single side glass.
