Hi Andrew , thanks for that , it was the odd grille that made me think it could have been a Troner .
Thanks Dai , for the Tommy williams Troner , that did Ford work to Spain as i remember , thanks regards Keith

Dennis would like this, he often went passed this yard on his way to Gwynne Bowen. Rhyd.Y.Pollon of Gorseunon.

Not many of these volvo’s in the uk,never mind wales.owned by steve Roberts from pembs.member Chris Evans told me today of another tractor unit stolen, this time from baglan.don’t know who the owner is.chris’ employer had an fh stolen just last week.

hiya,
Only one motor that I would love to have had stolen was a Scania 80 in fact
if I thought anybody would have been daft enough to steal that heap of crap
I would have left the keys in the thing and my fuel card on the shelf to make
sure they would get the heap far enough away, feathers ruffled ■■.
thanks harry, long retired.

hiya,
Scania’s yes loved em’ , but only upwards from the 110 a true 32 tonner the 80 only being
rated at 26 tons at their place of origin and I agree they would have made a cracking six
wheeled rigid had they been more reliable, ( mine developed three problems on it’s
maiden voyage) the main fuel pipe burst, an imploded fuel tank (blocked vent) and
problems with the cab jack device when attempting to tip the shed over to effect repairs
which I did myself you had to have a bit of mechanical know how to keep that heap going,
on a later trip a snapped halfshaft found to be metal fatigue it was a clean break so got
the thing home on the difflock now how many drivers would have thought of that in those
days got praised from the guvnor and the fleet engineer.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hi all, regarding the truck theft there is a site called truck watch which is run by rha and all police counties they put on all info on the truck and when it was stolen it goes on a database which can be viewed by anyone they have prosecuted a lot of people for haulage thefts even get diesel theft reports it’s worth checking out
