roy colcombe had Volvos f89s in blue, but had yellow trailers,he used to load each trailer, then tranship the load, 2 loads on one trailer and deliver through the night, he used to buy new trailers every 3 years. Gwyn Morgan, had yellow Volvos, not far from roy colcombe. mad bob had f86s f89s Battleship blue, not long after bob died me and my mate went down his farm to see if his wife would sell the 4wheeler erf, and the spares in the garage, it was full of Volvo spares. sadly its all gone, not sure if the garage is still up.

Hi Daibootsy/Pete359, I think the 2 royal blue 89’s from Swansea around the same time as colocombe’s belonged to Sprayaway transport owned by ex wg davies driver Liam Bradshaw
who is also related to Catherine Zeta Jones who’s family part funded the operation, Regards Curly.

Hi all, nice shot of the Daf there Andrew with I am proud to be Welsh, so am I.
The blue Daf of Alan Price is Deri blue. I was told many years ago that shade was picked by Alan and was named as such.
Deri being their base and home not Bargoed. That Daf would of looked better with a black wing and mudguard.
Daibootsy, great photos and input, especially the Davies story. Thanks.
Regards Paul.
with kind permission from ron.
