I love the pictures of the 50’s and 60’s eight wheelers.especially the mickey mouse foden,i don’t think that’s a load of tinplate though it would weigh about 200 tonne

Looks like a double row of tins on pallets Andrew,I used to collect similar loads on my D1000 from MB Acton for Glaxo Kendal,20 pallets probably about 5 or 6 ton but it needed every stitch of sheet I carried to cover the load.Cheers Dennis.

Attention to detail is second to none. It has even got the right wheels, but what idiot has fit the deflectors in the wrong place?

hiya,
Driven a few F88s in my time both sleeper and day cabs but can’t recall
those deflectors being fitted either as standard or as an option on this
motor they certainly look odd, just an observation Andrew.
