Thats right Dai , i can remember the Rhydopollen Atki getting stolen i think it was a 6 wheeler.
Can remember the garage also just out of Pontardawe between 2 steep hills towards GCG . regards Keith
Rhydopollen were from Gorseinon couple yards away from Gwynne Bowens place, same side. across the road from Gwynne bowens was a haulage contractor by the name of W.H.Bowen, from Llanelli. the one you might be thinking of in Pontardawe maybe Abernant or W.C.Short (Landore) they had a yard in pontardawe.
Dennis, I think these dodge/reo came from the states during the war, after the war the yanks left all their gear here as it would cost too much to ship back, so everything was up for grabs,if you look at the nr side headlight, its covered with a black guard.
