Hi Paul, T&R Phillips yard is 2 minates walk from me, the son of late Ray Phillips is Ian. Ian is my best mate. I Bought 3 E.R.Fs off him in the past.
the ec is not a bad truck, well maintained, and worked hard, thats the last of the E.R.Fs, even the scania,s starting to drift away slowly as you can see now M.A.N has joined the fleet. I prefer my noisy 8 cylinder 240.
cheers daibootsy.

can remember Phillips having a couple of Scammell Crusaders on IMI Titanium work hauling to Rolls Royce at Derby . They also had a couple of AEC Mercurys one i think was ex Richardsons Oldbury . regards kk

Wracking my memory from the 60’s,would T&R Phillips be the same family as Trevor G.? Phillips from was it, Cadoxton ? On the odd occaision that Gwynn Bowen couldn’t fix us up with a load for the Octopus and trailer Trevor Phillips did  His motors were Choc brown with green mudguards (I think?) Long time ago,but happy memories,I recall we stopped at Ma.Phillips digs in Llamsamlet though  Cheers Dennis.

Hi Dennis,
As far as I am aware.those two Phillips companies were not related.trevor g. Was on the old a465 road at cadoxton.they finished many years ago.they ran quite a few atki’s and foden’s over the years.
Regards andrew.

I think t g Phillips finished in 1980, he hadn’t long put an atky on the road, and it was on a t plate he also had E.R.F.s and Seddon Atkinson.

some ENTRESS Volvos.
