Nice one John. Fairly soon someone may well put the effort in to producing said vehicle.

Great photo’s Daibootsy, thanks for sharing them.

Regards Paul.

Dan Punchard:
On the above mention DVD I have there is a blue transcontinental with white stripes and I noticed on Wales online news from April of this year there is an article on mrs t and the miners ,then on a haulier called Brian chiltern from croespenmaen near crumlin who got his w reg transcontinental burnt out for taking part in the ore convoys, could it be the same one? I can post the DVD if anyone has the means to post it on here its 38 mins long if anyone is interested pm me your address .

brian Chiltern was a realy wild one …used to see a lot of him late 70s he had a 240 gardner in a sed atki it was always coal north and gypsum back south…

Who can guess the welsh connection in this picture

Hi Andrew ,I see you put this picture on last Thursday but nobody has come back.
The badly sheeted trailer in the picture is one of John Raymonds, they used to use Husks yard in Dover as a changeover,I assume Husk`s used to load trailers for them as well, this would have been mid-eighties.

Hi mike,
Very well spotted mate :sunglasses: thanks, though I think? That dreadfull sheeting was more than likely the work of a Belgian subbie, mannehout in Oostende would be my guess.
Regards andrew.

Looks like another ERF for Daibootsy.!

Hi Paul, T&R Phillips yard is 2 minates walk from me, the son of late Ray Phillips is Ian. Ian is my best mate. I Bought 3 E.R.Fs off him in the past.
the ec is not a bad truck, well maintained, and worked hard, thats the last of the E.R.Fs, even the scania,s starting to drift away slowly as you can see now M.A.N has joined the fleet. I prefer my noisy 8 cylinder 240.
cheers daibootsy.

Hi there all. What an absolute brilliant weekend down Carmarthen. A very good turn out and amazing atmosphere. Here’s some photos from the weekend to enjoy.
Cheers
