Hi all,
I had forgotten about this firm :blush:Nichols were based on the old Cardiff docks.a very early model f10 :sunglasses: .

Hi all,
I am pretty sure that UKG was either Caerphilly or Pontypridd reg. That F10 may of been supplied by Griffin Mill, I had a 6 wheel D series Ford UKG 800S.
This was supplied to an owner driver new from R.J. Bown. It worked out of Vaynor quarry, and Cromwell slag in Merthyr, before going on ther coal with Alan Price. That truck earned a lot of money, and wasn’t to much trouble.

Hope everyone is having a great time at Gaydon.

Regards Paul.

morning paul john.
that reg is most definately cardiff, there was the cardiff local licencing office and merthyr had a licencing office which always gave out HB ,newport had an office along with swansea, also carmarthen had a licencing office which served all of that area.bit of useless info for a sunday morning.

Plus Haverfordwest had a licencing office giving out ‘DE’, it outlasted Carmarthen’s office by a few years and at that time also gave out ‘BX’ which was previously a Carms reg. More useless info!
