Prior to our Christmas Party this weekend, I had a preview , and final sign off of this years DVD, which is based on a theme again…bet you cant guess what?, so looking forward to the Steelboys Bash, they have a great line up of slides for the afternoon, and those Awards that always make you chuckle, I cant believe where Steve gets it all from…will we make it to the party before the tornado hits, will there be enough sausage rolls, will the custard run out, will Ian North be certifiable as a Steelboy…well you will have to wait and see!

Hi Graham, iirc there are some photo’s of Hughes motors further back somewhere. I remember as a school kid seeing them regular on the A470 Heads of the Valleys road. Light blue Boxer/ Mastiff box vans. Seems a long time ago now.

My old mate bubbleman contacted me recently and told me of a special “testimonial night” for our mutual friend Martin phippard,who sadly is suffering from a nasty illness.martin is a legend in the uk transport industry and I along with many others was deeply saddened when I heard about his illness.in his time there are probably? Not many countries that Martin hasn’t visited and filmed the local trucks at work for his many videos and more recently Dvd’s.he has also contributed to many books.his 40 year global photo archive is in my view second to none.
Bubs and a few others have decided that on sat. Feb.9th at j.n. fear institute at keynsham an auction will take place in parallel with the usual very good cvrtc photo meeting.the doors will be open earlier than usual,from 3pm,with the picture show starting at 4 pm.the auction will start around 8pm.pERFection14 and I have been invited to many keynsham events over the past 15 plus years and thoroughly enjoyed everyone of them.as Sod’s law dictates I can’t attend this special night,as we are staying with steelboyf10 and his family.anyone whom is interested in attending then please contact me or bubs.i have a couple of items to donate toward the raffle and I know that the steelboys will be supporting this very good idea.thanks Marcus.

You can even hear Erb making some witty comment…like have you tried a Philips screwdriver…with Bonney lad more likely to be a screwdriver with an extra twist of that refined sugar cane…

Good input lads .that’s a bloody Scania for you,eventually! gets as far as Kent running solo and dies,you wouldn’t get that with sbf10’s volvo now that bloody thing WILL be at the lar this July even if Harry and I drag it over on the bar!
