I love companies like that - still making a living the old-fashioned way, running older, tidy kit and everything based on providing good service with everyone working together towards that common aim. I loved my time working for guys like that :smiley:

Yes PB I too could have happily ended my working days with this type of
outfit and Rossers amongst others would have been fun to work for, it is
certain you would have needed a bit of mechanical knowledge like we did
in the old days and the compulsory box of spanners and bits and bobs. I got
many an old girl home by just “knowing a bit”, Oh’ yes and the jar of hand
cleaner for after doing the same running repairs, the happiest days Eh’.

Hi Piston Broke and Pete, thankyou very much for your kind comments , E916TTH and ARB342T are the last surviving lorries of Illtyd Thomas, still belongs to John Thomas son of Illtyd, and the yard is the same too, John and Spencer are cousins and im Spencer’s son Paul.

Hi Paul,any idea who the original owner of ARB 342T was,a Derbyshire reg.? It sounds familiar to me.

I did find the owners name out by taking the head board pannel out was under the paint , can,t quite remember name now think it was shedlands or shentons, their lorries were all red, will look again tomorow for sure ,
