Great Trucks, great photos and perfect weather, what more could you ask for. Many thanks for all that have taken the time to post photo’s it is very much appreciated by those like myself who were unable to attend.

hi all,
great feedback lads :sunglasses: thanks.glad the retro photos went down so well.it really is a good event.thought it appropriate to post this on here,“maverick the magnet man” aka pERFection14 and harry delivering the special trailer to warks.last saturday.did they survive the blind side reverse? i have it on good authority that maverick drove past the vale at evesham,so he must have “one hitted” it all the way overland, from bridgend to warwick services, wow what a guy,no wonder those steelboy spotters say he’s the number 1.headquarters had to dispatch another vehicle to the services though as maverick just couldn’t do anymore miles!
our florida friend paul (get well soon mate) will have another dvd in the post after our january party :unamused: :unamused:

Thanks Andrew. This new dvd will start 2013 off with a good laugh.

Regards Paul.

As well as coming back from the Retro show with a trophy for best 90’s truck Dai Echo also collected this great one off comissioned 1-24th scale model of the last Catnic truck driven by his father Echo 1.

Hi all,
At last I can get photo bucket to work-ish.here’s a Neil jarrold picture of a t.d. Williams transcontinental :sunglasses: .

Great picture again Andrew. I look at these trucks now and wish Ford could have kept the manufacturing process rolling by updating them. Yes, we know they are not in the Premier League with Volvo and Scania’s but still some machine in it’s day.

Hi ade1970,
Totally agree with everything you said in that posting.transcons are an iconic all time classic truck.am not sure if that one may? Have been a T.d. Williams subbie’s motor. Dai, I looked at the trailer wheels and thought wtf :exclamation: :unamused:
Regards Andrew.

It looks very much like a conversion from a tandem to a triaxle - there were some trailers around that had an axle with super singles shoved in between the other two. When the weights went up to 38 tonnes, there were loads of peculiarities about for a while…

That looks like a spread axle tilt thats had another axle grafted on in front of the others, it even appears the wheels come out a little wider than the others. I doubt that turned very well.
Neil.
