pete 359 hi and anything out there for me regards rowland

hi rowly,
no mate,we didn’t see any f89’s at all.the chap with the f88’s had bought a hell of alot of parts for his though.using ebay and dealer contacts in the uk.as usual he needs a good cab.the three he had were too far gone in my opinion.i did laugh when he told us about the ■■■■■■■ powered one,you just gotta love the maltese hauliers
regards andrew.

pete 359:
thanks dave.whilst we were outside salvatore bezzina’s this old girl was running back and forth from valletta dock, loaded to the gunnells    .

That’s a great looking Mammoth Major Andrew, good load on it,no problem. :sunglasses:

hi chris,
yes,it’s great to still see these old motors still working hard :sunglasses: .this erf was owned by mikson’s transport, they made us very welcome.bloody frightening to see what some of them do though :open_mouth: .this company regularly put 80 tonne on a 4 axle step frame and pull it with an old erf :unamused:

we went on the ferry to gozo on saturday and found some real oldies.

pete 359:
on bezzina’s workshop office wall is this article about a welsh transcon.

Hello Andrew
Sounds like you and the boys are having a great time . I will be out in malta next month. My eldest boy took the photos and wrote the article which was published in december 2005. He will be suprised a copy is on the wall of bezzina’s !
keep the photos coming.

Tony

Just hope the shipping has a crawler in the gearbox looks a canny bank for them to pull up.

Teehee - the cameraman was about 6 years old and had to be bribed with a Euro to take the picture - don’t think any of us would have been able to catch him had he run of with the camera though!!!

hello h.
we could have taken his voluptuous bikini clad mother as hostage though
regards andrew.

Coops,
It would have taken better men than us to have lifted her off that beach- I think she would have been a job for Bezzinas!

It could have been worse as it could have been Harrys birthday present and he would want the receipt so he could get the money back :stuck_out_tongue: and it could be several days before he is sober enough to see it by which time this thread will be on the next page
cheers Johnnie

hi harry,
no problem mate

this hard worked big j had a 180 gardner.

the right hand side brake chamber on this erf was chained onto the drive axle,as it’s bracket had sheared offf :open_mouth: and the chain was rubbing the propshaft.“is no problem”.

hi all,
a few more from gozo.this f86 was owned by a portugese company, when they went bankrupt 10 years ago, they just left it there.
