South Mimms - truckstop or racetrack!

First & last time I overnight here if I can help it. Been sat here for a couple of hrs now & can’t for the life of me understand why some “professional drivers” see the need to see how fast they can go from one end to the other making as much noise as they possibly can…what’s the point??

TOO KEEP YOU AWAKE, because they’re going home to a warm bed! :open_mouth: BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY WHEN YOU’RE TIRED AND RUN OVER THEIR FAMILY BECAUSE YOU’RE TIRED! :unamused: they’ll blame you, YOU PROFESSIONAL TRUCKER! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: sign of the times pal!

I know, think its the “if I make as much noise and drive as quickly as possible over this rough ground everyone will look at me and comment on my prowess and truck driving skills in managing not to break my suspension or an axle” brigade.

Either that or they’re just inconsiderate bell ends.

Get there late as well and it’s tighter than a nuns chuff to back in a spot in the dark between 2 cabs that you’re trying not to write off.

This is the reason I don’t park in MSAs… Unless its a dire emergency!!!

Definate ‘bell ends’ that’s for sure, I’m sure the one brain cell they have tells them otherwise though !!

They are not hard to spot on the road either!

Annoying when they start up their engine leave it running or revving it knowing fair well those parked either side of them are asleep.
