Got a long day on Thursday and want to be in Canterbury first thing. Aim on leaving about 3am. Question is, what night closures are en route. I know I can look at highways Agency etc but I’d rather get it from anyone who is doing it regularly now.

If it is your destination, the railway bridge on the A28 on the approach to Wincheap industrial Estate from the Rheims Way ring road is 14’ 9". If your destination is Vauxhall rd Ind est do NOT let sat nav take you via Westgate Towers, this would be a left off the second roundabout (or even the first) as you come in to Canterbury on the Rheims Way.
The two lane M2 will be busy because the M20 is either completely or partially closed overnight on varying sections between 7 and 9 for the removal of the contraflow barriers. The actual bits closed vary nightly. Do not go wrong after leaving the Dartford Crossing. Should there be an incident affecting the M2 and you are forced to use the A2 via Sittingbourne or the A20 A252 A28 route via Charing then these routes will be busy as well.
