Most of the raids on Berlin cost the RAF more than the damage they did to Germany’s capital…but that in no way detracts from the stoic courage of the crews.
Don’t forget the aircraft, men and guns the Germans had to hold back to fight the RAF.
The Krupp 88mm’s were pointing straight up at the RAF and not at allied tanks.
I think I saw and interveiw with Speer who reckoned on there being close to a million men ■■■■■■■ defending the Reich against allied bombers.
