If I was that driver, I’d be very disappointed and even more worried that the police have come out and said it was him who tipped them off. There is going to be some nasty drug dealers very unhappy about that and might want revenge.

‘An anonymous tip off’ or even ‘Police Intelligence’ would have been better.

I imagine what the police will offer the driver as ‘protection’ won’t even be close to adequate when the heroin bossman does abit of digging
So the Police send one of their own as a lorry driver to collect the load acting on a tip off,claim the lorry driver gave them the info. about the load to protect their real source, pretty
common fare in the crime novels I read.
I just hope the driver had his ADR ticket. Is there a category for hard drugs?
