Unless they buy sight unseen, surely anyone looking to buy wouldn’t be paying any dosh over until they’d seen and heard the thing, no mistaking the difference in sound alone when a proper ■■■■■■■ fires up compared to the L10 thing.

Seller claims that eBay have suspended the account due to exchanging contact info in an email.

What is the value in this?In theory with that reg it could be fitted with an N14 and an 18 speed Fuller and possibly no need for a limiter. My guess is it would then be worth more than the total cost.At least that’s what I’d do given a few spare quid somewhere to park it and an O licence.
Cf the N14 didn’t come out until years later in the next model .
That’s the advantage of an earlier reg truck fitted with a later motor and box no type approval issues.
It’s basically the same 14 litre motor size wise so it should fit after the L10 has been weighed in for scrap.Same applies to the 18 speed Fuller not much different to a 13 speed. If only I had the cash to do the job and could then run it.

As it goes you could also buy an old horse and cart, sell the horse to a knackers yard, and just slip Shergar between the shafts.

It’s back …
At 1400cc it looks like its had another engine swap. Probably needs crawler just to move!
In the 80s I…sorry someone I know, put an ERF in Leeds Rothwell auction.
It was a 14 ltr 250 ■■■■■■■■ (not a 10 ltr btw,.they did make them) it was ''inadvertently put in as a 14 ltr 290E, that engine looked identical, but worth a hell of a lot more…sold as a non runner.
Bring on the abuse by the paragon of virtue.
I was a bit dodgy in those days,.and not the upstanding law abiding model citizen in those days that I am now.

Probably bought by a greedy dealer who didn’t look

Right on cue, the inimitable presumptious, and obnoxious Conor. …you’re almost as predictable as you are unlikeable me old mate…just ‘almost’ though.
You’re the sort if bloke who would invite all his friends around for a party and still manage to hold it in a phone box.
The fact that you have me down as incompatible with yourself is a compliment.
Cheers for that.

You maybe had a better memory in those days - you posted the same account of dodgy dealing in this thread last year

Oh God,.I’m getting old.
Maybe even gobby Conor will start feeling sorry for me.
Btw while you are here…Did I ever tell you about the time I sold a dodgy ERF at an auction.
Not to worry. You know you’re getting old when you go into another room for something, but can’t quite remember what it was you went for so have to retrace your steps to jog your memory.

Or you spend half an hour looking for your glasses to watch the football on tv, shouting and swearing as you do, getting bad tempered with yourself, .and the Mrs comes in to see what all the commotion is about…then tells you they are on your head…like yesterday

Varifocals are a good investment - put 'em on when I get up in the morning, leave them on all day.
Prior to making the switch, I swear I spent more time looking for my glasses than I did actually using them!
